Technical Regulations of the Customs Union “On safety of railway rolling stock” (TR CU 001/2011)
Certification of the newly developed (modernized), manufactured railway rolling stock and its components, which are put into circulation for use on common and non-common railway tracks with a gauge width of 1520 mm in the territory of the customs union with speed of movement up to 200 km / h inclusive, is carried out in accordance with TR CU 001/2011.
Rolling stock includes: 1) locomotives; 2) multiple unit its wagons; 3) passenger wagons of locomotive traction (hereinafter – passenger cars); 4) freight cars; 5) special rolling stock.
The requirements of this technical regulation of the CU apply to the objects of technical regulation in accordance with the list in accordance with Appendix No. 1.
The requirements of this technical regulation of the vehicle are mandatory for the design and manufacture of railway rolling stock and its components, as well as for assessing the conformity of products.
This technical regulation of the TS does not apply to the rolling stock of technological railway transport of organizations which is intended for the movement of people and property on the territory of organizations and for performing initial operations with rolling stock for the own needs of organizations.
Operation requirements of the rolling stock in terms of ensuring traffic safety are established by the legislation on railway transport of the member states of the Customs Union. 3.
This technical regulation of the Customs Union establishes requirements for railway rolling stock and its components in order to protect the life and health of humans, animals and plants, the preservation of property, as well as preventing actions that mislead consumers (users) regarding its purpose and safety.
